The affected server is equipped with one or more Intel Xeon 55xx series processors or a Core ix desktop processor.
Problem: According to Microsoft, these Intel processors “generate incorrect interrupts” and cause the problem.
Solution: Make sure the server is up to date. Microsoft has released a hotfix as well as an update distributed via Windows Update that fixes this problem. The update is included in the update rollup package for Hyper-V on Windows 2008 R2 (KB2264080).
